It’s been a while since I’ve posted a blog (forgive me, blogging is not my strong suit) Since the last time, I’ve added a couple more boat ramps

Hope you enjoy.

The ICW (aka Beach Blvd) Boat Ramp is now featured on FishingJacksonville. If you are looking for a spot to launch on the southside of town, then check this ramp out. Get there early though, this ramp will fill up fast.
Just another quick reminder that new Shoreline fishing license requirements start Aug. 1.
I am excited to announce the new FishingJacksonville fishing forum. I have spent about two months trying to the best forum software that would easily integrate with everybody’s existing profile. I found one that was easy enough to integrate and modify to allow single sign-on (one login and password for the entire site). This information is probably too techy, so the most important message is that there is a fishing forum that we can also use to communicate. I’ll need your help in getting this forum going, so tell your friends all about it.
If you have suggestions for categories, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Recently, I’ve been working hard to update the content on FishingJacksonville. I took a charter on the Majesty and have some great photos to share.
Also, the Mayport Boat Ramp has been added under Jacksonville Boat Ramps.
Another feature that I think will be a useful tool for those heading out to fish is the new Jacksonville Bait Shop listing. Now, before you head out, stop by FishingJacksonville, check out the Jacksonville Bait Shop section, and be sure to stop in to get your bait.
I hope you find these updates useful,

I went on a fishing charter last weekend out of Mayport, Fl and at the request of one of our members, FatBack, I decided to stop over at the Mayport Boat Ramp and do a little research. Check this ramp out if you’re looking for the closest boat ramp to the ocean.
I’ll post some pictures of the fishing trip soon.
Beginning August 1, 2009, all Florida residents fishing for a saltwater species from shore or
a structure affixed to the shore, will be required to purchase a shoreline fishing license.
I’ve added another fishing charter for Jacksonville. Captain Bob Cosby is now featured on FishingJacksonville.
I’ve added a new charter to the website today. Captain Ron Schurr of North Florida Fishing Charters is now featured on FishingJacksonville.
I’ve added a new charter to the website today. Captain Rick Davis of Big River Fishing Charter is now featured on FishingJacksonville. Captain Rick Davis has some of the lowest rates that I have seen for inshore fishing on the St. Johns River or Intracoastal Waterway.
